The system

A rod that moves with the room.

A traverse rod combines the appearance of a decorative pole or fascia with an internal operating track. Drapery attaches to carriers inside the profile, so the panels move in a guided path rather than sliding rings over brackets.

Choosing the right traverse rod

Begin with the visual intent. The Loft emphasizes an architectural wood fascia; IO offers a quieter, slimmer profile. Element and The Town can be considered when a decorative pole appearance is important but the project may call for traverse operation.

Operation and heading

Hand, cord, and motorized configurations are available on selected systems, not every rod. The drapery heading also matters: pinch pleats and wave-style headings use different carrier arrangements. Review wave fold versus Ripplefold or pinch-pleat hardware before finalizing the system.

Measurements that affect the build

The opening width alone is not a complete specification. Note the finished rod length, draw direction, stack area, bracket location, return, overlap, fabric weight, and any corners or obstructions. Our measuring guide explains the information to collect.
